Small Chevron Table

This chevron table was built using pieces of reclaimed oak flooring for the top and reclaimed pine for the legs and aprons. The table top was sanded down then finished with lacquer, which really gave the old flooring a refreshed look while all the pine was painted black before receiving the lacquer finish as well. This piece fits perfectly next to a bed or couch, with it’s size being great as an end table. There will be plenty more of tables with table tops similar to this one in the near future, so be on the lookout! This table was actually built to be auctioned off at the Works of Heart event displaying several other Fossil employee’s pieces. It is benefiting Big Thought, a non-profit organization promoting creative education to underprivileged youth in the Dallas area.

About thegrain.design

we're passionate about design and the opportunity it presents to express what inspires us. blending aesthetics to create something entirely new allows for a unique and personal look. we seek to fashion new, using the old. the character that comes from history can't be replicated; similar to a pair of jeans that is distressed over time by the owner. that's why we choose to use reclaimed materials. we also believe in reusing and repurposing furniture, using natural finishes, and other recycled materials to reduce our carbon footprint.
